Lightboxes on iStockPhoto

Well, i learned something new yesterday. I tried to create banners to my lightboxes, but i didn't knew, how to start. Then i started to search on the net and i found a webpage, unfortunately i don't know which site was. But i saved the i needed to make the banner.
I tell you how can you create lightbox banners as mine:

1. First you need to create a private or public lightbox on iStockPhoto. Here you can insert your preferred images, so anybody who find your lightbox, can see, what is your favorite and maybe it will be easier to choose.

2. After you have your lightbox, open it, and copy the ID number from the address bar. You will see something like this:

As you see, the ID is 8274773. Write it down, you will need this.

3. Now, you have to create an image in your favorite image editor program, and upload somewhere on a server. You can use free servers also, like Picassa, Flickr...etc. Copy the images URL, and paste into this script:

[url=http://www.istockphoto.com/file_search.php?action=file&lightboxID=yourIDnumber t=_blank][img]http://your_uploaded_image_URL[/img][/url]

4. You have the script now, select the image you want, press Edit, and insert into the description field. Save, and enjoy your work :)

Constantly look at the media all around you. Pay close attention to commercial photography; not photojournalism or art. I’m talking about photos that are used in posters and advertisements, magazine articles, travel guides, church newsletters, even (to some extent) magazine feature articles (not news), etc. What kinds of imagery are they using and why? What message does the image convey? How is the message conveyed?

Holidays...

So, i was on holiday finally :) Now i'm back, and i have a lots of ideas for draw in illustrator. First, here is a cocktail with lemon. Believe me, it is so tasty as it looks :). And some flip flops. Colored, or filled with flowers. You can use in any illustration about holidays or beach.

How to remove gradient mesh from a shape?

I had a problem. I needed a shape, but it has already a gradient mesh. I tried to recolor, to delete the points, to search te web, but i did not found anything helpful. So i tried to apply an offset path, and it worked :)

Just go to Object -> Path -> Offset path, set the Offset to 0 and click OK. After this just delete the original shape... and we get the same shape, without the mesh gradient.
This was until now the only way to get rid of the gradient mesh. So i have my shape back, even if it is a little bit bigger.

If you have a better idea, please let me know, i know this is not the perfect solution.http://icons.mini-web.ro/stock-icons/office-icons

Adobe Illustrator has a lots of tools which are helpful in your daily work. But sometimes you feel, that something is missing. A better way to do things, a simple way to edit, cut, paste, save your work. So Adobe gave us the scripts and plugins to complete our tools. These scripts and plugins can do a lots of things, that AI can't do on it's on.
